OVERCOMING FEAR OF FLYING USING COGNITIVE HYPNOTHERAPY NLP & EMOTIONAL FREEDOM THERAPY (EFT)

Imagine being able to board a plane feeling confident and calm about flying. With the help of Cognitive Hypnotherapy, NLP and EFT that is exactly what could happen in a very short time.

It really is not surprising that so many people have a fear of flying - even hatchlings about to embark on their first flight are nervous and they are born with wings and an instinct to fly! We, on the other hand, are designed to walk and run at ground level and go no higher than the odd tree. So it does make sense that we might feel fearful locked in a huge heavy metal tube flying at 35,000 feet and travelling at 500 miles per hour.

Added to that, we are constantly bombarded by the film industry with outrageous scenarios that happen on planes, most of which are complete fantasy. Also one of the first things that happens when you are on the plane is that the crew goes into a lot of detail as to what you should do in the event of an accident.

With all the above situations it is amazing that any of us ever board an aircraft. The reason for this is that we all understand that statistically flying is the safest form of travel in the world, even safer than riding a bicycle. That is all in the rational conscious part of our brains.

So why is it then that some clients feel sick at the mere thought of travelling by air, even if it is to take them to the holiday destination they have always wanted to visit? Even if it is a business trip that will make them more successful than they are now? There are many reasons that we could go through, but the simple reason is that the unconscious mind has somewhere decided that it is a bad idea to fly. The reasons for this could be many but as we as humans go towards pleasure and away from pain, the unconscious mind is doing its best to keep you away from pain.
